History

Since 1985, Wolfgang Amelung has worked on developing ecosystems with the purpose of achieving “the transformation of humanity through harmony with nature”.

1985

Genetron Systems Inc, was created.

Wolfgang Amelung after getting his ____ degree in ____ created Genetron Systems to revolutionize the way people interpret and work with nature.

1988

Mr. Amelung is granted a Canadian and U.S. patent for his Breathing Wall ecosystem design

After founding his company and investing in his designs he managed to get a patent for what was to be the first Breathing Wall design

1989

Joining up with the Institute for Space and Terrestrial Science

Mr. Amelung becomes involved with the Institute for Space and Terrestrial Science (I.S.T.S.) (now CRESTech) to further develop his technology for space applications in the area of biosphere development as life support systems.

1990

Development of the Biosphere in coordination with Canada’s space program.

Mr. Amelung coordinated and played a major role in the development of a Canadian space program based on biosphere work through I.S.T.S. Mr. Amelung introduced Dr. M. Dixon (University of Guelph) and Dr. W. Adey (Smithsonian Institute) to I.S.T.S. who short time later joined I.S.T.S. (now CRESTech). A proposal for conducting biosphere research and work is accepted by the Canadian Space Agency. A Consortium is formed and funding received by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.

1992

Genetron Systems Inc. completed its first rainforest ecosystem project

Through Wolfgang Amelung’s efforts, Genetron Systems Inc. completed its first Rain forest ecosystem project for Glaxo Canada.

1993

Project with Canada Life

Canada Life Assurance Company contracts with Genetron for the development of a Breathing Wall Ecosystem that could be linked to their HVAC system to provide clean, fresh air to the entire floor of the building.

1994

Genetron Systems designs a breathing wall for an  Environmental Meeting Room

After working to connect a natural solution for Canada Life’s HVAC, Genetron Systems expanded to design and build a Breathing Wall Ecosystem for their Environmental Meeting Room.

1995

Project with the University of Guelph

At Genetron’s request, the University of Guelph, under the direction of Dr. M. Dixon, begins a research project to study the effectiveness of Genetron’s Breathing Wall Ecosystem at Canada Life in creating cleaner air. This research project was funded by: Canada Life Assurance Company, the Institute for Space and Terrestrial Science (I.S.T.S.) (now CRESTech) and the Ontario Ministries of Environment and Energy, and Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

1996

University Publication of Genetron System’s Ecosystem

The first published results of the University of Guelph’s study are announced. Results demonstrated and concluded that Genetron’s Breathing Wall Ecosystem was a progressive and powerful natural air purifying system that effectively cured Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) and removed significant amounts of volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) from the indoor atmosphere.

1996

Project with Panasonic

Genetron creates Wolfgang Amelung’s Rain forest ecosystem for Panasonic Canada in their employee cafeteria.

1998

Not-for-Profit was established

___WHY GENESIS WAS FOUNDED___ Genesis – Foundation for Ecological and Atmospheric Research is formed as a not-for-profit organization.

1998

Project with Club Monaco

Genetron designs and builds Wolfgang Amelung’s rainforest ecosystem for Club Monaco’s head office.

2022 – Genetron in the present day

Throughout a long history Genetron continues to produce amazing results with our ecosystems in order to create synergistic technology that will benefit human life in ways of self healing, wellness, joy in life and love.
